After a bustling New York Fashion Week this September, and a quick mini vacation off to Miami, I finally find myself home in San Francisco.
New York Fashion Week SS16 was filled with many many exciting events, in fact almost to much to handle. On Saturday the 13th, I had 5 shows in under 6 hours. This may not seem like a lot to many, however for me it was exhausting. Sitting and waiting for a show to start can be such a daunting task. Some of the favorite shows included; Carmen Marv Valvo (he had sooo many stunning gowns and dresses, as well as bathing suits, and well tailored suits for men), Laurel Dewitt (the most stunning metal work that I have ever seen, from ball gowns to mini dresses that took you back to the 70's), and of the course the fantastic Academy of Art University Student Showcase (there is seriously nothing as amazing as fresh talent, with new ideas).
We will have a lot more upcoming Recaps on New York Fashion Week, as well as some insight into what I wore throughout the week ( I can tell you that my staple pieces included my amazing Alexandra K Vegan Handbags, Make Wilde Sustainable Jewelry, Anna Sui Dresses, and Canned Goods Upcycled Jewelry). There is nothing more amazing then supporting the Slow Fashion Movement! As green fashion is the only future towards the future of our planet.
Cant wait to get more details of New York Fashion Week!
xoxo
