Photographed by Michael Oliver Before heading to Art Basel this past December, I found myself spending way to much time, looking for the perfect outfits. Art Basel is a Monday through Sunday week that is full of parties , launches and of course art shows. So while representing the sustainable fashion movement, I needed at least 7-10 looks to get through the week. What I loved about this choice, was that I could use the pieces sepreatley or together, which means less to pack and less of a carbon footprint. One of my favorite looks from the whole week was this two piece custom sustainable silk skirt and top from Green Stitch Fabrics. The process started out with me sending in a few images of tops and skirts that I liked, along with my measurements. From there the 'Green Stitch Diva' Anisa Kelso, took my vision and turned it into a beautiful elegant reality, that can be worn both together or seperate. One of my favorite handbag designers is Kent Stetson. Based in the United States, he started out his designer career after a frustrating art show where nothing sold. Instead of giving up, he decided to start cutting up the canvas pieces and turned them into the first clutches (which of course they immediately sold). One of my favorite clutches that i used during the past two years of Art Basel from his collection is the 'Equestrian Clutch.' I had the pleasure to work with Florida based fashion & lifestyle photographer Michael Oliver and absolutely loved his use of natural lighting and minimal editing. For this sustainable fashion look, we decided to shoot at the Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel, which was about a 15 min drive from downtown Miami. The Biltmore Hotel in Miami, is a piece of history and hosted many celebrities, stars and even presidents. However that isn't my favorite part about the hotel, my favorite aspect of the Biltmore is that while their building and grounds may have history, they are leaders when it comes to offering an eco travel option and being eco friendly. The Biltmore Hotel has won many awards including the Tripadvisor Green Leaders Award in 2017, which was developed with the United Nations Environment Programme & the US Green Building Council. white finger frolics earrings REDGREGOR made of upcycled plexiglas BUY ONLINE for €24beaded wrap bracelet KIPATO UNBRANDED hand-made in dagoretti market by elijah BUY ONLINE for $25equestrian clutch KENT STETSON HANDBAGS made in the usa BUY ONLINE for $208bespoke skirt & top GREEN STITCH FABRICS made in usa with organic dye and sustainable silk INQUIRE HERE Noelle Lynne photographed by Michael Oliver www.OliverPhotographs.com
